Although I kinda feel like Garrison Keilor's quote is describing Jonathan Eberhardt and not winter.
oh how i agree. he says it so well, except that he hasn't got to the part about strangling the house guest who won't leave. shaking the keys seems a little too mild for me at this time of year.
