Passover

Yesterday, families all over the world celebrated Passover. For the past three years, Matt and I have celebrated Passover with friends and families. Matt and I were first introduced to the Passover and the traditions pointing to Jesus as the Messiah throughout the meal our first year of marriage. We were at the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, FL and heard a Messianic Jew speak about it. Then a couple years later we went to a Seder that my Uncle and Aunt held. After that we decided we'd like to host one ourselves with our friends. It has become an annual tradition that we like to observe. It's been really special to be able to take an evening with friends and family and remember Jesus, our Lamb who shed His blood for us so that we could be shielded from God's wrath. There are so many special moments during the night that remind us of God's provision for the Israelites and for us as adopted children through Jesus.

Here are a few pictures...of course, I once again didn't get my camera out while people were here. I really need to quit doing that!
Here is a place setting.
the prime rib before I stuck it in the oven. I don't make lamb...I actually don't think a lot of people do make lamb for Passover anymore. Just so long as it is Kosher.

the Seder plate...each item on the plate is to bring to remembrance what happened to the Israelites and God's provision for them.
the table before the guests arrived
Have a Good Friday...what a Cost for our Redemption!!
love,
Bek

We hosted our Seder last night, too, Rebekah. It was a special night. Your table looks beautiful. God bless you for remembering His sacrificial Lamb each Passover season.

Love,
Aunt Pam

Thanks, Rebekah, for including us at your passover meal. Everything was lovely. But most of all it was an inspiring evening as we learned about the way Christ truly was the sacrificial Lamb. Thanks so much!
