One of the things that we've been busy doing around here was taking a short trip to Chicago. It was a perfect little trip for a young family. We stayed with Aaron and Booxy in their adorable apartment. They were with us the first night and the next morning they went sailing with some friends. We used their bikes and attached little carriers that we had brought along. The kids sat in the carriers and Matt and I peddled around the neighborhood and then we went down to the biking and running trail along Lake Shore Drive. It wa so much fun! We rode our bikes quite aways to a grassy area by a boat pier and ate lunch. Then we biked back towards the beach and the kids played in the sand and lake for a few hours. Afterwards we went home and played in a park and had a relaxing little evening. It was fun. The next morning Matt biked Josh and Darci to the zoo and I stayed at the apartment with Aria while she napped. It was a short but fun little trip for our family. Here are some pictures. Sorry they are all backwards in order...I haven't blogged for so long that I forgot how to do that!

It sounds like such a fun few days Rebekah - it makes me excited to get to that stage with our kids!
I am glad you posted the pictures...it sounds like such a nice, fun trip. The first picture, I tried to figure out what was in Darci's mouth, I should have known it was her little dogs that accompany her everywhere. Such cuties!
i love the pictures from behind, too. actually, they are all great, but those are especially adorable.
i can't get over how adorable aria is. i pointed out that photo of her in the suit from behind to vlad. it's soooooo cute! and i agree that there is something special about photos of her from behind. all of your kids are cute, bekah. it looks like you guys had a lot of fun! can't wait to see you all again. xo - carmen
