This week my sisters and I went to Tanner's Orchard about an hour away from our home. We were hoping to pick apples but they didn't have the U-pick part of the orchard open during the week this week. That was a bummber but they have such a great area for the kids to play at that the kids didn't mind too much. Here are a few pictures from our time there.

The beautiful apples I bought! I got the honeycrisp this year. They are so delicious!! I made 2 bushels of applesauce with them yesterday. They made a pretty pink applesauce.

Getting ready to turn the crank for me.
The apples boiling away...
Aria woke up from her nap while we were in the midst of aking the applesauce. I heard her chattering away excitedly and looked up to see this. She was so delighted to see a HUGE bowl of applesauce...she wasn't so happy when I told her it wasn't for her to eat now and made her get down from the table.

very cute Bek! I love the last one of Aria in the applesauce.
YUM!! That looks fantastic!
cute cute :) LOVE tanners! And LOVE homemade applesauce!!!
hmm. . .honeycrisp are BY FAR my most favorite apples ever. But I've always assumed for some unknown reason they wouldn't make very good applesauce.
Maybe now I'll have to have my sister and I do a bushel or two of them for myselves when we make our applesauce. She loves them too! I always say the name describes them perfectly. They are one of my favorite parts to every fall!
So fun!
Tanners looks like so much fun and those apples look beautiful! I did a bushel & a half off our trees the other day (no idea what kind they are), but we've never had Honeycrisp before so maybe we'll try some of those!
