Catching Up with the Girls

At Christmas this year on my Mom's side of the family, the girls were talking and we decided to plan a shopping trip together. We did one years ago when almost all of us were still single but hadn't been able to do one since. So, this year, Tara and Rachel got the ball rolling and a few weeks ago we got together on a Friday night and went shopping together on Saturday. It was so fun to be with them...seriously, we could have fun anywhere together. I just love my cousins! Here's a few pics from the weekend.

In our hotel room that night, we had the privilidge of having a room full of high school boys across the hall. They must have heard a room full of girls laughing (us) and assumed we were some young things (haha!). So, they knocked on our door a few times...we didn't answer but then thought up a plan that the next time they knocked, Rachel would fling open the door and Shar who is about 7 1/2 mos. pregnant would be standing their with the side sillouhette and say, "Yes?" likd a mother hen! I had the camera ready but they never knocked again. It would have been so funny to shock them. At one point after they had all left their room to go somewhere, someone had to leave our room for something and we found these two notes on the floor by our door. ( I distorted the numbers because I wouldn't want my kids' phone numbers on someone's public blog!) Needless to say, we didn't do any texting that night! But so funny nonetheless.

The next day, Tara, Whit, Kate and Kyra met us at the mall. We shopped in the morning and then met at Cheesecake Factory for lunch. After lunch some of us had to go home. It was so much fun!!

Uncle Brian and Aunt Jacki flew in from Hawaii that morning and knew we were in town. So they met us for lunch and paid for it! Even if they hadn't paid for the lunch, we would have been thrilled to have them join us! I just LOVE these guys! We had such a nice chat at lunch and I always wish we could spend more time with them when we are together! Thank you again! Also, thanks again to Tara and Rachel for planning the weekend! It was so much fun!! Love you girls!
