Chicago Pictures

Matt and I were in Chicago over Columbus Day weekend. We were there to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and also to hang out with Aaron and Boox. So, we went up on Saturday and hung out with them and then Sunday after church we stayed at a hotel and the next day goofed off around the Magnificent Mile for awhile. It was fun and very relaxing. I just took a few pictures while we were there. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of people. Sorry.
On Michigan Avenue

A couple street signs

Aaron and Bekah's street...isn't it adorable?

One of my favorite houses on their street

A view from Navy Pier

A close look at the rays of sun shining through the clouds
The light house close to Navy Pier
One of the many seagulls at the Pier
The boat as it came in to dock at Navy Pier
One view of the ferris wheel ( I don't know how to spell that)

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I'm glad you liked them! Janelle, I have a Nikon D50 which they actually don't make anymore I think the same camera is now called a Nikon D70. But the Nikon D40 is a very nice camera too and doesn't cost as much I don't think. But you can get good pictures with a regular point and shoot camera too. It's just how much you want to invest. You can spend way more than my camera too...digital is nice though...you don't have to pay for film!

hope that helps.

I LOVE the pictures! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. ;) It's nice to know that I still have readers, even when I haven't updated for 6 months. :)

Do you edit most of your pictures? Also, how do you like your Nikon? I'm assuming you like it well. I have a Canon and adore it. Isn't it fun to shoot around... I find that wherever I go, there is always a scene or a moment to capture. It tells it's own story, and definitely helps with the memory-making. :D

I have a great camera on my cell phone, and have used it like 12 times in the last 6 months.

Beka, As everyone has said, your photos are wonderful. Have you had instructions, classes, or have you simply self taught? Whichever the course, the results are great! I'm so happy for you to have developed such a fine talent! :) Keep posting, we all obviously enjoy your work! XOXOX A. Cindy

Hi Aunt Cindy,
It was fun to see you here on my blog! I need to call you again sometime because it has been SO long since we have talked!

I haven't had any training other than the tips my sisters have given me. Seriously, I think the editing makes such a difference! But I do love taking pictures. It is so much fun.

Thanks for your compliments.

love ya
