For a Laugh
Our church recently had a photo directory made. The photographers came to our church and took pictures of our families. It's a nice idea but I really dislike our picture. But after seeing the pictures on the website: www.awkwardfamilyphotos.com, I'm feeling a lot better. Here are a couple from the website. I loved the caption they had with this first one.

I have been looking at that site and have been laughing so hard I have tears in my eyes! GREAT find! Did you see the one with the family all in plaid shirts except the one girl in plaid pants? HILARIOUS!!!!

I don't think I have ever met you, but as I stumbled across your blog tonight and found your entry about "6 years", I learned we have some things in common. My mom, Miriam Sauder (Tremont, IL), died last Christmastime. We were starting to build a new house--and now soon are going to have our first child. I am just thinking that you might be able to give me a "heads up" on some of the emotions that might be coming after baby arrives--just the pregnancy has been emotional without mom. My email is carrieito@gmail.com. You sound like a busy mom with your plate full, but I was wondering if you could share some things that helped you through that time. I have found that sometimes if my hard experience can help others, it helps me understand why it was God's will that the hard thing happened--follow that?! Also--we have a Japan connection--I am married to a Akihiro Ito--perhaps you remember him?
