Popcorn Anyone?

I asked Matt to catch this shot of the kids watching the popcorn popper make an evening snack. I love the way they get such delight out of the simplest things. It brings back memories of standing next to my Grandpa on summer nights watching the Stir Crazy's little rod turning in the oil and waiting anxiously for the corn kernels to begin popping. When the popping would begin, my Grandpa would always say it was like a bunch of little girls at a slumber party. That always made me laugh and we'd watch the dome fill with white popcorn and then we'd salt it and eat it out of wooden bowls. It's fun to see that my kids enjoy this little tradition as much as I did as a kid.

Ah! One of my fondest memories of grandma and grandpa was when we had movie night and he made popcorn with the popcorn maker (and we ate it from those wooden bowls), and watched Lassie. Ter o this day, I prefer that popcorn over any other.
