So, since it's been over a month since I've posted, I will make up for it by putting up a rediculously long post...but lots of pictures which makes it a little more interesting right?
This past weekend we had our annual cousins' weekend at the lake. It was as fun as always! Thanks to Jason and Rachel for hosting us again...and thank you to Jason's parents who always let us come crash at their lake house. The weather was beautiful and everybody stayed safe and there was plenty of great conversation and tons of food consumed! haha...basically a pretty great combination! Here are the pictures I took from the weekend.
Darci
Gare peeking at me
Aria posing for me
Here she is swimming around like a little fish
Another fish...who is always ready to smile for me
Darci soaking in the rays
I never get many shots of the adults...not sure why. But here's Tara, Tami and Christin catching up
Kyra, Shar, Faye and Heidi getting ready for luch
the boys getting in some fishing
Matt and his little buddy
Little Ollie Z
My sisters...always a treat to be with them
Jarod helping Josh get his skis on
Josh learned how to ski off the boom this year...popped right out of the water. Next year he wants to try the rope off the back of the boat.
concentrating....
Garrison was not impressed...
Love his look of happiness
Darci, who gets her lack of coordination from me, wanted to try too. Thankfully, Jarod was right there to help her out.
never could get her to straighten her legs. But she was having a lot of fun anyway.
Gare was still very unimpressed by it all
Next up was Will
So cute how he's looking at his Dad and Mom
I love his delighted face
Just chillin...
But after falling...he was done
I was shocked when Aria decided she wanted to try
And with Jarod helping, she popped right up
she loved it... and said it was easy :) So, nice to have Jarod right there to push her little bum up and help her!
Then it was Jackson's turn...
This 3 year old has an iron grip that's amazing!
When his skis fell off, he just hung on and got pulled around for awhile
He was hillarious to watch
This picture just cracks me up...it's Jarod attempting to barefoot off of the boom. I told Heidi he looks like a warrior from Lord of the Rings going into battle on a horse. I've never seen him look so fierce! haha...the water was a little too rough though and he ended up in in what looked like a terribly painful face plant.
so then he tried it off the rope...but the water was still too rough. I was bummed because I wanted to see him get up.
Josh in awe of his uncle
this guy, on the other hand...pretty tough to impress
Will watching his mom getting ready to ski
He seriously didn't even turn around to watch anyone ski
except for one person
He did turn and watch his daddy
but still not much of a reaction...silly guy.
We had stopped back at the house between Jarod skiing and Heidi and Matt. In the activity, Josh and Darci got off the boat and got left behind when we went back out. Needless to say, they were more than a little mad at us. When we pulled back in, they were standing with their backs to us. Their body language spoke volumes of their irritation with us. Our bad...we will need to make sure to have better communication in the future.
It was such a great weekend. I didn't get pictures of all the people that were there...but we loved being with each and every one of you. Hopefully, in the future the ones who missed this year will be able to come too!
