Freedom isn't Free

Tami and I were talking yesterday about the pride we feel in our hearts when we see soldiers in uniform who are defending us. She was saying that when she and Heidi were in the airport on the way to Florida, they saw a bunch of soldiers...it made us sad to think of the men and women who are having to leave their families. So, I wanted to put this video on my blog to remind all of us to pray for them...thank them when we have the chance...to be more thankful for our freedoms...to remember the wives who are here withtout their men...

love,
bek

the part with the soldier holding the wounded baby in a blanket was so horrifying. Thanks for reminding us of all they are going through, while we are here at home safe. - Heidi

Thanks Rebekah, it's so easy to get wrapped up in our everday lives and forget what they're going through. We all need a reminder now and then.

What a moving video Rebekah. A long time ago on the radio, I heard the Rossburgs (sp?) encouraging folks that if they saw a soilder in uniform to go up to them and say thank you. Andy and I have done this a few times in airports. It is neat to see the softening of their eyes and we have gotten into some neat conversations with them. Seeing this video makes me thankful to be an American and to pray for those dear soilders and families who do their job so well.! Thanks for sharing!

What a great reminder...thanks for sharing! Our friend, Nick, just returned to the states after his 3rd tour in Iraq. We have pictures on our fridge of him so that we will not forget to pray for him. I'm so thankful for him and for the other soldiers fighting for us. They are truely a blessing to our lives!
