A Day in Tami's Life...

Okay, this is what you do when your creative juices are running low...you steal your very creative sister Tami's stuff!!! This was part of one of the funniest blog posts I've read in ages...well, other than all the other posts on her blog! So, I told her once I was going to post it on my blog because it was too hillarious for more people not to enjoy. Now, if you guys don't think this is funny...I guess you can just say I'm kind of sleep deprived lately and a lot of things are either really funny or aggravating. There isn't a lot of middle ground in my emotions lately...very scarry!! (For those of you who don't know Tami, she sells auto insurance over the phone at State Farm) This is a narative of one of her calls.

"The other day, I was on a call with a gentleman from Elwood, IN (for all you Indiana ladies!) for 2 HOURS because he had to drive across town 2 times to read the VIN number to me on a car at his mom's place while still on the phone with me...oh yeah, and catch a turtle and tell me about how it was bothering his chickens. He asked me how I like living in the "promised land"...I was thinking, "Does he know what country he's called?" I said, I live in Illinois, and that I like it. He said, "Yeah, I've been told about that ol' Illinoi'S' and how it's nuthin' but timber. Oh, I hope to make it ther' someday." I didn't know whether to go pick him up and fulfill this dream of his, or break his heart by telling him, it's really not that different from Indiana! He also informed me that his daughter wont let him talk to any ladies (he's a widower) because she wants all his inheritance, and that it is "sure is pleasant talkin' to a lady-folk again!" Yep...that's my job. :)"
